CARLY STARR BRULLO NILES • EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Carly Starr Brullo Niles is an award winning filmmaker & the founder of Love Machine Films. After years of success in Hollywood on major motion pictures, independent features & network tv, Carly started Love Machine Films to make a difference in the world. LMF is a full production house based in Oceanside, Ca. and founded on the ethos that Love Can Conquer All. Carly has been responsible for the creative branding, direction & production behind hundreds of projects, for both mainstream & non profit organizations, and her works have helped raised millions of dollars for various national & international causes like The Mission San Luis Rey, American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity and countless others. Carly filmed the award winning feature graffiti doc, The Nasty Terrible TKID-170, along with Love is the Answer which is swiftly placing in festivals all around the world. Carly was also recognized by the SD Film Community for her career efforts, winning The Women In Film Award.
ANGELA MIRANDA • PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Angela Miranda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications and Film from California State University of Los Angeles. Her award-winning, diverse skill-set, along with her years of experinece, allow her to be an expert in Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production.
KELLIE DAVIS • PRODUCER
Kellie Davis has over 20 years experience in the entertainment and journalism industries as a filmmaker, writer, producer, actress, and Salsa dancer. In 2011, a stage play she wrote, Transitions: A Trilogy of One-Act Plays, was nominated for five NAACP Theatre Awards, winning Best Playwright Local and Best Ensemble.
Kellie was first introduced to KOCT when she recruited a few KOCT crewmembers to help make a short film she co-produced, called Between Shifts, shot throughout the cities of Oceanside and Carlsbad. Kellie is delighted to now call Oceanside home, and to be part of the KOCT production team.
MIGUEL BLANCO • LEAD EDITOR
Having lived in North San Diego County most of his life, Miguel graduated from MiraCosta College, then earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia from California State University Hayward. He joined the KOCT team in 2009 and became Lead Editor in 2016.
TYLER TRAN • PRODUCTION TEAM
Tyler graduated from Vista High School and Palomar College, studying editing and video production.Tyler is dedicated to editing as a craft and works on various projects outside of KOCT to keep up to date on the ever-evolving technology. KOCT welcomes Tyler to the team!
AARON CAPEHART • ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Aaron Capehart’s background encompasses years of experience in Cinematography, Communication, and Business. He was first hired in September of 2006 as a Camera Operator. Through the years, Aaron has acquired many skills: such as, Studio Lighting, Editing, and Directing. He has contributed to many award-winning shows, and is now an asset to the daily operations of KOCT.
BILL PETERS • CHIEF ENGINEER
Bill Peters attended the University of California at Los Angeles and received his degree in engineering in 1959. He continued his education to receive certificates in both technical and non-technical management. Bill has over thirty five years of experience in managing the design and construction of electronic information systems for Consolidated Systems Corporation, Scientific Data Systems and the Xerox Corporation. Bill currently serves as KOCT Chief Engineer with duties that include, but are not limited to, equipment repair and installation, problem solving, program engineering.
