Give & Join - Cars for KOCT

KOCT works with the Cars 4 Causes program, which accepts donations of cars, boats, and RVs for non-profit organizations.

STEP #1: A Donor contacts Cars 4 Causes by calling 1.800.766.CARE (2273). The donor has the opportunity to designate a charity where they would like to have proceeds from their donation directed.

STEP #2: Cars 4 Causes picks up the vehicle (no charge for towing). Cars 4 Causes then get the donated vehicle ready for sale by completing minor repairs, having it smog checked and securing all DMV paperwork.

STEP #3: Cars 4 Causes provides the donor with Kelly Blue Book evaluations to help the donor determine their possible tax deduction, along with individualized thank you letters and a receipt acknowledging their donation. If the value is over $5,000 they provide an independent appraisal (as required by the IRS) at no cost to the donor.

STEP #4: Cars 4 Causes advertises and sells the vehicle to get the highest possible price. When the vehicle is sold they send a check to the designated non-proft.
